Ebru Özgür received the B.Sc. degree in biology from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, in 1999, and M.Sc. and PhD degree in biochemistry from the METU in 2002 and 2006, respectively. She received her Assoc. Prof. degree in 2014 on enzyme and microbial biotechnology. She was a Research Assistant in METU between 1999 and 2006. From 2006 to 2011, she worked as a post-doctoral researcher in Chemical Engineering Department of METU, in a EU 6th Frame project. In 2011, she joined the METU-MEMS Research and Application Center, Ankara, Turkey, as a Senior Researcher Fellow. She joined Mikro Biyosistemler Inc. in December 2015. Her research expertise is on the biochemistry and molecular biology, MEMS fabrication technologies, BioMEMS, Lab-on-a-chip systems and microfluidics with applications on the development of cancer diagnostic microfluidic systems and micro-scale biological fuel cells.
