Yağmur Demircan Yalçın received the B.Sc. (High Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, in 2010 and 2013, respectively. She also received a minor degree from the Biology Department of METU in 2010. She has been continuing to Ph.D. degree in electronics at METU since 2013, studying on diagnosis and prognosis of cancer with dielectrophoretic lab-on-a-chip systems. She worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at METU between 2010 and 2015. She is currently working in Micro Biosystems Electronic Inc. as senior engineer since October, 2015. Her expertise is on design, fabrication and testing of MEMS-based microsensors and actuators, with applications on BioMEMS and microfluidic systems for the diagnosis and prognosis of cancer.
